Ottawa has banned open fires due to the heat that will continue until the middle of next week, Ottawa Fire Services announced Friday morning.

Any outdoor fires are prohibited during this time, even if you have a permit, as well as agricultural fires and trash burning. Violations will result in large fines. Temperatures of up to +30 °C are expected over the weekend, and up to +32 °C on Monday. Firefighters are asking people to follow the rules to avoid fires.
