The National Capital Commission (NCC) has opened a new swimming area at Dows Lake. The grand opening took place at 12:30 p.m., and the first swimmers, including Bob Rinfret, have already successfully tested the water.

The decision to open the new swimming area is part of a broader effort to expand water recreation opportunities in Ottawa. Important: The NCC will conduct regular water quality testing before officially opening the area to the general public. For now, the area remains closed to public swimming.
